Experience the Breakwater Walk: Hike the mile-long rocky Provincetown Causeway (also referred to as the jetty) to the narrowest tip or hook of Provincetown, and all of Cape Cod. For extra adventure continue on to reach the Long Point Lighthouse.
Climb to the top of Pilgrim Monument: The 252-foot granite tower commemorates the Mayflower Pilgrims’ first landing in the New World in Provincetown, in November 1620 before they sailed on to Plymouth. Imagine their voyage while taking in sweeping views of Provincetown and the surrounding waters.

The Canteen is another go-to haunt with an expansive patio, a casual beachy vibe, and scenic water views. When it comes to cocktails we recommend heading to Local 186 for an El Diablo Margarita or grabbing a Bloody Mary at the iconic Lobster Pot restaurant. And you can’t forget about tea time. First-timers to Provincetown can’t miss the legendary Tea Dance at The Boatslip, Provincetown’s biggest outdoor LGBTQ-friendly dance party for nearly 50 years.
