ATLANTIC WHITE CEDAR SWAMP & MARCONI POINT
Take Route 6 and after Wellfleet look for the left turn to the Marconi site. At the end of the road you come to the point from where Marconi made his first historic trans-Atlantic radio broadcast to King George VI of England. Nothing remains of the transmission tower except for a few footings. The other sight well worth exploring is the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp. Duckboards guide you through the ancient swampland and between the few remaining cedars that once covered the Cape.
